Description

The Sunshine Gold is a yellow coloured marble, with thin to medium grain and uniform background. It presents some darker shaded areas and some occasional lines. It may present some signs of fossiles.

The picture below represents a high quality Sunshine Gold, where you can see an uniform background and even coloured yellow. On the other hand, you can also find lower grade Sunshine Gold with more variations in terms of fossiles, more lines and more contrast between all elements.

Location

The Sunshine Gold is mostly extracted around the area of Tascilar, which is located in the province of Bilecik. This area is located in the northwest of Turkey, at 230 kilometers southeast of Istambul and 330 kilometers west of the capital city of Ankara.

Tascilar is located just 80 kilometers east of Bursa, which is considered one of the most important natural stone quarrying and transformation centers in Turkey.
