The region

The Sunshine Gold marble is explored around the province of Bilecik, which is located in the northwest of Turkey. The Bilecik province is mostly known because of one of its cities, Sogut. This city is famous beause it was here where the Ottoman empire was founded in 1299.

Evidences of the Ottoman empire past can be found pretty much everywhere in this district. Bilecik is also know for its beautiful mountains and great number of restored traditional Turkish houses.


Bicelik is a province that is known for its natural stone extraction. It is located close to the Bursa region which is one of the most important quarrying centers in Turkey.

But this area is also known for one of its natural stones: the Sunshine Gold. Here it is common to fins quarries of this unique yellow marble that is becoming a strong player within the natural stone market.

The marble

The Sunshine Gold is extracted in the Bilecik province. There are currently quite some quarries extracting this material in the region. The quarries are considered of medium dimension with good areas for future expansion. The blocks extracted can have any size, according to the clients needs. It is estimated that there are large reserves of this stone for future extraction.

The Sunshine Gold is a less known player in the natural stone market. However and due to its beautiful yellow colour, uniformity and competitive price, this stone has been gaining ground and conquering new market and clients both in Turkey and abroad.

Overall analysis

The most interesting aspect of the Sunshine Gold is with no doubt its colour. Due to its beautiful golden coloured look and considerable uniformity, it does an amazing work in different types of applications. Also, there are large reserves of this stone actually on the market and a healthy competition, which makes the Sunshine Gold a very interesting and affordable stone.

To our knowledge, there aren´t any particular negative points to describe. Perhaps the only negative feature of this stone is related tyo the fact that is a fairly unknown stone in the market, which can raise questions about what is really behind the stone. Despite this, the Sunshine Gold will continue to conquer its space in the stone industry.
